What is Jetsuit Racing?
Jetsuit racing is a sport that Gravity Industries has been working on since launching its first race in Bermuda in 2020. It shows pilots wearing 1,500 horsepower jet suits and racing against each other on a specially designed course. The course consists of various obstacles and checkpoints that the pilot must navigate. Races are timed and judged on speed, accuracy and style.
How does a jet suit work?
Gravity's Jetsuit It's unlike any other flying machine you've seen before. It consists of three jet turbines integrated into the fuel tank backpack and four additional turbines attached to the pilot's arms.
The pilot controls the thrust and direction of the suit by moving his arms, making it a very physical and agile method of flight. The suit can reach a top speed of 85 mph and can typically fly 10 feet over solid terrain and 13 feet above water for safety reasons. For a full tank, the average flight time is 5 minutes.

Who's behind jetsuit racing?
Jet suit racing is the brainchild of Richard Browning, founder and chief test pilot of Gravity Industries. He says he wants to create a new sport that showcases the potential of human flight and inspires people to pursue their dreams.
“Our gravity race series promises powerful visceral excitement and drama similar to Formula 1,” said Browning. “We will not be satisfied with organizing only flying and racing exhibitions. We also seek to increase the competitive intensity and excitement of the event through flight routes that include challenges to competitors where they need to determine their maneuverability, accuracy and flying speed. We put in the effort. Our four best competitors will compete for the top three positions and a spot on the podium.”
Gravity Industries offers a variety of opportunities for people to experience flight in a jetsuit, including flight training, flight experiences, and custom jetsuits. This will be available to experience at Dubai Skydive later this year.
