In recent weeks, CNN has shifted its obsession with Trump to the fake Trump trial in New York. The presenters even had an embarrassing 'dramatic reading' of the trial transcripts that circulated on social media.
The bad news for the far-left network is that it's doing nothing to help its already declining viewership. In fact, primetime viewership is declining.
Most Americans are far more concerned about the economy, inflation, and an invasion at our southern border, but CNN doesn't care. They need their daily Trump-hating fix.
FOX News reports:
CNN's primetime lineup has seen record lows in viewership despite the New York v. Trump trial.
CNN's long-struggling primetime lineup posted respectable ratings in important categories last week despite the landmark New York v. Trump trial dominating the news cycle.
CNN's primetime lineup of “Anderson Cooper 360,” “The Source with Kaitlan Collins” and “CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip” enjoyed strong nightly viewership from May 13-19 in the advertisers-coveted Adults 25-54 demographic. There were only 83,000 people. The dismal total tied the network's 2023 Thanksgiving week as having the fewest viewers in critical categories since 1991.
By comparison, Fox News programs “Jesse Watters Primetime,” “Hannity” and “Gutfeld!” The average demo viewer of 186,000 outpaced CNN's 25- to 54-year-old audience by more than 100,000.
CNN's primetime lineup drew fewer viewers during the demo than 23 basic cable options, including FXX, MTV, Hallmark Channel, Discovery, A&E, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, TLC, HGTV and Food Network. ESPN2, Bravo, Fox News and MSNBC.
CNN's primetime lineup wasn't particularly successful among total viewers either, averaging only 484,000 total viewers compared to 2 million for Fox News.
How could CNN lose viewers with such compelling news reporting?
CNN's dramatic script reading has the feel of a local parish on Good Friday. When you're just gibberishing characters that your readers don't fully understand. “Have I not seen you with a Galilean?” pic.twitter.com/zEzXONZL6R

I think it would be fun if it wasn't so pathetic and sad.
