Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein claims White House staffers have observed as many as 20 instances of President Biden exhibiting “significant cognitive decline” over the past 18 months.
Bernstein discussed Biden's debate performance on Thursday, in which the president often appeared flustered, stammering, misrepresenting facts and “open-mouthed” and losing his train of thought.
He discussed the startling sighting with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, saying that staff close to the president have told him “that there has been a marked decline in cognitive function and physical frailty, particularly over the past six months.”
Bernstein claims aides have observed cognitive decline “15 to 20 times” over the past year and a half.
“They are adamant that what we saw last night, what we saw of Joe Biden, was not a one-time thing,” he told Cooper.
Carl Bernstein, currently on CNN:
According to multiple sources, “the president has behaved like that horror show at least 15 times” over the past year and a half.

Biden's Cognitive Decline, Staff Witnessed For Nearly Two Years
The question here is: Why didn’t anyone on President Biden’s staff warn the American people that his cognitive decline was putting the country at risk? When did they tell Carl Bernstein this information?
Well, the prominent journalist Ron Klain, Biden's former White House chief of staff, said that he had actually been warned several times that the president had “lost his train of thought” and “couldn't get back on track.”
He then told Cooper a story about a fundraiser that went so badly that Biden was essentially compared to a corpse.
“There was a fundraiser where he started on stage and then he just got really stiff, people who were there said, and it looked like he was in some kind of rigor mortis,” Bernstein said.
“This happened almost exactly a year ago at the old Four Seasons restaurant on Park Avenue. He was so stiff they had to bring in a chair for the second half of the event.”

Carl Bernstein is back, baby.
Outrageously, Carl Bernstein said that despite Biden's numerous instances of cognitive decline, his speech Monday on the Supreme Court immunity case was the president's “best showing.”
But Biden spoke for just four minutes, reading from a manuscript, refused to take questions and appeared to have staffers dress him in “brown hair” to make him more visible during the debate.
You may remember our report that the president's aides were upset that he had been “made up to look pale and pale” for the debate.
“I think what these guys are saying and have been saying for a while is, 'Yeah, when we see him, he's great, like tonight,'” Bernstein explained. “But he also has moments where he can't explain…”
Of course, Biden's Supreme Court statement was released at 7:45 p.m., which may explain why he didn't speak for more than four minutes.
White House staffers say the president appears most active around 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Axios reported this morning.
Son Hunter Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have implored the president to stay in the race and remain in power, suggesting they are willing to intervene in this administration.
Bernstein said Biden's cognitive decline shows the country is “dealing with two sides of the same person.”
“And according to people I talk to, it really needs to be explored,” he said. “And I think a lot of leading Democrats believe that. There are others who have said no. But this is a problem that is not going away.”
I wish there was an award-winning investigative reporter who could tackle this issue, or an actual member of the media who isn't the de facto White House press officer.
