The team returned home after securing the base. ICC T20 World Cup 2024 The title was won in the Caribbean. Rohit's team ended their long wait for the ICC Championship by defeating South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling final at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.

stranded by hurricane
The Indian team took off on Wednesday from Grantley Adams International Airport on a chartered flight. The team was stranded for three days due to the Category 4 hurricane. Air India operated a special chartered flight called Air India Champions 24 World Cup (AIC24WC), which departed the Caribbean at 4:50 am local time and arrived in New Delhi around 6:20 am IST today.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organised a charter flight for the Indian team, including support staff, players’ families, committee officials and members of the travelling media. The flight was arranged after the team’s departure was postponed due to Hurricane Beryl.
