Walgreens is closing stores in low-income Boston neighborhoods due to rampant theft, and people who live there are angry. They are actually protesting the news of the store closing.
This is a common series of events in liberal cities. The Democrats who run the city allow theft and leave criminals unpunished. Then the store decides to close and suddenly everyone is angry at the store instead of the person who caused the problem.
This will happen in more and more cities until Democrats decide to punish crime.
From the Western Journal:
Residents were outraged as Walgreens prepared to close a store in Boston's crime-ridden Roxbury neighborhood.
“This Walgreens is so important not only to this community, but to the surrounding communities and to our seniors,” said Pastor Miniard Culpepper during a protest outside the pharmacy Friday, according to WBZ-TV.
The store is scheduled to close on January 31. The nearest Walgreens store that will remain for Roxbury residents is about a mile away.
According to The Boston Globe, customer Lucille Culpepper-Jones, who is demanding that the store remain open, said she cannot visit the next Walgreens nearby because it is unsafe to walk alone.
An increase in retail theft in many urban areas has led to store closures.
Here is the video report:
Walgreens has closed its fourth Boston store, located in a black neighborhood in Roxbury that has been plagued by thefts.
Residents were angry and shocked.

Here are some reactions:
It is not the company's responsibility to incur financial losses. Especially if the community refuses to take any action https://t.co/BiS2Vhkfn1

The idea that large corporations should lose money for the good of the community is incredibly justified and foolish. https://t.co/fyppHQEZIp

It's not Walgreens' fault that Boston doesn't put people in jail for theft. It's not Walgreens' fault that the community doesn't police itself. https://t.co/NfDuJU22b6

People in this town should take their anger out on local political leaders, not Walgreens.
