Made of beautifully crafted steel and eight mobile arms, Medusai can play percussion and string instruments with human musicians, dance with human dancers, and move in time to multiple human observers. It uses AI-based computer vision to determine what a human observer is doing and reacts accordingly through snake gestures, music, and light.
If this looks a little unsettling, that's intentional! This project is designed to explore the concepts of trust and risk in the context of robots and the use of technology to influence emotions.

Telemanipulation plays an important role in enabling robotic operations in challenging environments, but existing limitations on efficiency and accuracy require the development of innovative strategies to improve telemanipulation operations. The work described in this video introduces a new approach to improve the efficiency and accuracy of humanoid robot teleoperation by leveraging mixed reality and assisted autonomy.
Sometimes all it takes is one good punch to go down.

The new Dusty Robotics FieldPrinter 2 improves field performance and productivity through its compact design and expanded features. Building on the success of the first generation FieldPrinter, which printed over 91 million square feet of layout, the FieldPrint platform incorporates lessons learned from years of experience in the field to deliver an optimized experience for every transaction in the field.

Quadruped robots have emerged as a state-of-the-art platform for human assistance and applications in tasks related to inspection and exploration of remote locations. Nonetheless, the floating base structure makes it error-prone in complex environments where manual recovery by the operator is not always possible. In this study, we propose a robust all-terrain recovery policy to promote rapid and safe recovery in complex environments.

The OpenDR project aims to develop a versatile, open toolkit for basic robotic functions by using deep learning to improve robot understanding and decision-making. The main goal is to make robots more intelligent, especially in critical fields such as medicine, agriculture and production. In healthcare environments, TIAGo robots are deployed to provide help and support within healthcare facilities.
