Conservative historian and scholar Victor Davis Hanson appeared on the Laura Ingraham show last night to comment on the state of the 2024 race.
Hanson suggested that Democrats want to get rid of Joe Biden but don't know when or how to do it.
He also pointed out that while Biden has suffered a near-complete collapse, Trump is mounting a political recovery that appears historic.

LAURA INGRAHAM: We're joined now by Chris Bedford, a senior contributor to The Federalist. and Victor Davis Hanson, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Victor, we are seeing a lot of division on the left. Of course, there is a division on the right too. But how big of a problem will this be for the Biden campaign as reality sets in as it gets closer to the general?
VICTOR DAVIS HANSON, HOOVER INSTITUTION Senior Fellow: Yes, I think we're reaching the point of no return, Laura. The corruption problem, the perception problem, the unpopularity and disaster of his agenda, and now this defection from the Democratic Party. It's not a question of if they will try to get rid of him, but when and how, and I don't think they have an answer for either.
It is indeed the most surprising presidential collapse we have seen in modern times, perhaps juxtaposed with Donald Trump's greatest political recovery since Richard Nixon in 1962. The more cases are filed against him, the more popular he becomes. Strange, then, how things have changed since 2021.
It's amazing. I think they are in a dilemma and they are not. They know what they need to do, but they don't know how to do it or when to do it…
Hanson went on to say he still has concerns about voting by mail. Read the full story:
Hanson's point is well stated. Republicans had better get their act together.
