Tyler Baltierra is keeping things very real.
And also very primitive.
The longtime Teen Mom cast member posted a lengthy note to his Instagram Story this weekend after his wife Catelynn caught fire a few days ago.

On May 9, Catelynn re-shared a message on social media at the time that referenced the notion that “adoption is a beautiful thing.”
“Oh, how often I hear this and cringe.
“Yes, adoption can be a beautiful story, but that statement often ignores the heartache, pain, and loss that comes with it.”
Tyler and Catelynn gave up their daughter Carly when she was a teenager. However, the adoptive parents have had several opportunities to visit over the years.

But now it sounds like those same parents recently denied Tyler and Catelynn the chance to see Carly. This, at least in part, inspired Catelynn's bitter response above.
“That choice doesn’t come without natural human costs,” Tyler explained about giving up a child.
“Most people will never know the pain it takes to fight against our most powerful, biological, instinctive nature to make those choices.
“Most people will never know what it is like to raise, nurture, love and embrace something as beautiful and perfectly innocent as your own baby… You're just painfully giving up your natural bond with another person to do something you know you can't do for your baby. .”

The 32-year-old, who admitted that Kathleen in particular “fights this pain every day,” called out strangers who descended on the reality star to share their feelings.
“Expressing the pain of this special day when she felt vulnerable, sad and lost should not be used as an attack on her character,” Tyler wrote online.
“All I ask of you is to be kind.”
In our opinion, it's a fair question.

Tyler and Catelynn reunited with Carly about a year ago. But it's unknown when they last saw her or attempted to see her.
Tyle, who shares daughters Novalee, 9, Vaeda, 5, and Rya, 2, with his partner, went on to say that despite “mutually agreed” plans to visit Carly every year, the pair were denied the opportunity. Seeing Carly “many times” and her frustration with the situation “isn’t new or unfamiliar.”
“There is nothing in our personal lives that influenced this decision,” he added.
“But after all, Brandon and Teresa are her parents! “They are the only ones with the authority to make these decisions.”
