Trump continued to try to sell U.S. policy, promising the fossil fuel industry that he would immediately approve all projects when he returned to the White House.

The Washington Post reported:
Trump said, “We will lift the ban on natural gas exports and cancel all unnecessary energy consumption regulations.” [and] The memo said it would open up more federal lands to drilling, drawing cheers from the audience.
Trump told attendees he would immediately reverse Biden's hold on new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export approvals. Lifting the moratorium would directly benefit Energy Transfer Partners, which serve several LNG export terminals that ship the fuel overseas via pipeline. The company also clashed with the Biden administration last year when it refused to extend its LNG export terminal permit in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Trump's actions are blatant. He goes to people who donate large sums of money and promises to do whatever they want in return for their money. Donors typically hope to make an impact through their donations. There is no hope for Trump. The former president put a price tag on America's energy and environmental policies, and as long as Big Oil pays, they'll get everything they want.
Throughout Trump's involvement in politics, there have been concerns and fears that he would sell out access and policies. Trump's own actions confirm that he is peddling American policy as corrupt, and not even a Senate investigation will do anything to slow him down.
