Trump and Mike Johnson plan to introduce legislation to prevent non-citizens from voting, even though it is already illegal for them to do so.
Punchbowl News reports, “Johnson is scheduled to appear at Mar-a-Lago with Trump to introduce legislation that would make it illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections. Of course, it is illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections, and despite Trump's claims, there is no evidence that that happens. And a Trump-Johnson proposal like this will never pass the Senate.”
CNN added:
We'vWe'verd talk about two things there. One thing is that they are expected to file lawsuits again in the 2020 election, which is not surprising since both were trying to overturn that election. Johnson actually played a key role behind the scenes in the lawsuit that attempted to overturn the election and in getting congressional signatures in Texas. But another big problem they say is the idea of non-citizens voting. There are talks about what kind of legislation they will bring forward, but we know they will draw attention to this issue. Now I want to be very clear. Currently, the federal government prohibits non-citizens from voting in federal elections. So that's not a problem.

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson will once again claim the 2020 election was stolen and hold a meaningless event to propose laws that already exist.
Trump and Johnson will attack the American people's trust in the electoral process while insulting themselves with suggestions that are nothing more than a charade to push conspiracy theories.
Let's hope cable news puts democracy first and doesn't fall for Trump's anti-democracy scam.
