Travis Kelce opens up about debuting Taylor Swift's Eras Tour!
Kelsey joined Taylor on stage in London on June 23 and chatted about the big night on the season two finale of “New Heights,” the podcast she hosts with her brother Jason Kelsey.
In the new episode, which came out on July 3, Travis revealed that it was his idea to share the stage with Taylor at Wembley Stadium.
“I first told Tay,” Travis told Jason. “I thought, ‘How funny would it be if I got on one of those bikes back in 1989?’”
He said Swift laughed it off and then asked him, “Are you really willing to do that?”
“I was like, 'What? I want to do this. Are you kidding me? I've seen enough shows. I might as well let him work here,'” the Kansas City Chiefs player recalled.
“Of course she found the perfect part of the show for me to be in,” he said.
Travis debuted without a bike, which he said was “the safest option” in case he “ran into someone or hit one of the dancers.”
Instead, he came out in a tuxedo and top hat and carried Taylor onstage right after she sang “The Littlest Man Who Ever Lived.”
Travis confessed that his biggest concern was not to drop Taylor! He said, “I told myself, 'Don't drop the baby. Don't drop Taylor on the fucking couch.' The golden rule was, 'Don't drop Taylor. Get her safely on the couch. '”
When she changed costumes for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” he pretended to put powder on her face as part of the scene and showed off some dance moves.

Travis told Jason that the move was a nod to Jim Carrey's tap dancing scene in “Dumb and Dumber”!
“I’ve always wanted to do this move, but I never knew when to do it or in what context,” he said. “It’s one of my favorite moves!”
Travis raved about Taylor, calling her a “true showwoman” and saying it was an “honor” to be on the show with her.
Kelsey continued, “I had so much fun. It was such a fun, light-hearted part of the show and it was the perfect time for me to get out there and be a ham and have fun. Not just her… but the audience and everyone else was really excited for the rest of the show. It was really awesome.”

Travis recalled the moment the audience recognized him on stage, saying, “When everyone knew it was me – and it took a second for everyone to figure it out – that was pretty shocking. I was just like, 'Oh, shit. '”
He said the stage felt incredibly large, “as big as a football stadium… much bigger than I imagined.”
Overall, he said the experience was “amazing.” Travis insisted, “I didn't let Taylor down, that's all that really matters.”
He also hinted that he might make a comeback! He joked, “Who knows, it might not be the last time. You'll just have to keep showing up on the Eras tour and see if I pop out on stage.”
After the London show, Travis attended Taylor's third concert in Dublin and spoke about meeting Julia Roberts and Stevie Nicks.
He said the “amazing” Julia was “having fun” with Stevie in the VIP tent.
Trav also raved about hanging out at the bar with Stevie that night.
“She is exactly what everyone describes her to be,” he said. “She's just incredible… I've met people who say, 'I don't know what I'm doing here. You can't believe it… and I'm just a jabroni rooting for his girlfriend.' It's really funny.”
