At this point, almost everyone in America and around the world knows that the President of the United States is unable to perform his duties.
He continued to prove it last night.
Remember how the media and the Democrats gaslighted Biden by saying he was secretly an intellectual giant, and privately an intelligent person? Yes, of course, folks.
Take a look at this again and tell me – Only in secret meetings attended by Democrats – Biden is the next Albert Einstein:
But the debate itself wasn't Joe Biden's biggest problem. And that's not even his biggest threat. No, it came from within the Democratic House.
Hakeem Jeffries Throws Joe Biden Under the Bus
Hakeem Jeffries appears. Currently the House Minority Leader. He would be in the top five if not the third-most powerful Democrat behind Biden and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. So his words will carry a lot of weight.
What he said was really bad for Biden.
AP congressional reporter Parnoush Amiri asked Jeffries whether Biden was “the most effective messenger for the Democratic Party.” Read: “If Biden remains the Democratic nominee.”
And that's when Jeffries completely threw President Biden under the bus.
“President Biden is scheduled to speak in North Carolina around noon today. I look forward to hearing from President Biden, as I understand it, and until he makes it clear where he wants to go in terms of his vision for America at this moment. , I will withhold comment on anything related to the situation at this moment other than to say that I support the Democratic majority in the Senate and, of course, we will do whatever we have to do to win as House Democrats. .”
Whoa! He could have said, “Resign.” To me, that sounds like an ultimatum to the president. You can see that Jeffries is behind the “ticket” and not Joe Biden. And then he tries to get away with a completely unrelated topic.
These are truly amazing times, friends.
Where do the Democrats go from here?
Your humble correspondent is conflicted about this question. It could go one of several ways.
First, Biden sticks to his guns. From what I understand, we need his consent to vote him out at this point. Will he do it? He is a stubborn gunslinger. God loves him. I'd say the odds are 50-50.
Second, Biden agrees to resign. But who takes his place? The difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party is that the former is smart and good at politics. Democrats know they can't have an illiterate Kamala Harris stand up to Trump's cannonballs. She will be eaten alive worse than Mr. Magu.
The conventional wisdom is that Biden will be replaced by California Governor Gavin Newsom. This is a strong play by the Democrats at a time when people are whining about the candidate’s age. Of course, California is a five-alarm dumpster fire, so this is not a magic bullet.
Enter the magic bullet: Michelle Obama. I’ve been predicting this for a while. There’s no better move for the Democrats than to bring Michelle in at the last minute to save the party and revive the Obama era.
Third option: Shenanigans. Perhaps Biden might drop out in a situation that isn't entirely voluntary. Only the Lord knows what kind of scheming is going on behind the scenes.
One thing is certain: Biden's chances of winning are greater than his chances of remaining.
Immediately after the debate, both CNN and MSDNC publicly called for Biden to step down. In my decades as a political scientist, I have never seen anything like that.
