Experts using a 3D printed skull-shaped instrument have created a world-famous scream similar to the Aztec Death Whistle, said to be the scariest in human history.
According to uk metro Reportedly, it was used in spiritual ceremonies.
Scientists created the skull using fragments found in Mexico in the late 20th century.
A YouTuber named James Orgill, who makes science-based videos, said: “This sound has been considered the scariest sound in the world. Believe it or not, this is not a human scream. The death whistle strikes an innate fear in your heart. “It causes it.”
Orgill explained the findings in more detail. “Archaeologists initially thought this must have been some kind of toy, but didn’t think much about it.”
“It wasn't until 15 years later that for some reason a scientist blew into a hole at the top and this is the sound that came out. It was an amazing discovery because it sounded like a human screaming.”
One belief may be that the Aztecs claimed that the noise helped transport the soul of a sacrificed person to the afterlife, while others say the noise was used to scare away enemies.
