Rachel Ciani's cause of death
Dr. Faruk Presswalla, New Jersey State Medical Examiner, performed the autopsy. He found ruptured blood vessels (bleeding) in her face, including her eyes, and determined that Rachel had strangled her. He was found to have significant internal bleeding and many broken bones, including his legs, most of his ribs, shoulders, pelvis and jaw. She also suffered a serious skull fracture. The severity of her injuries determined that she was alive when she fell from the bridge in Burlington. Dr. Presswalla concluded that her death was caused by a fall.
