Yann Le Berre, also known as Yann L'Outsider, was born in 1984. He discovered graffiti at the age of 17 and was drawn into the exhilarating rush of instinctive creation within the limits of legality.
He refined urban art by revitalizing marginalized spaces and imprinting and asserting his own artistic identity. At the same time, he received training in cabinetmaking at the École Boulle, an endeavor characterized by rigorous standards and meticulous craftsmanship as opposed to spontaneous graffiti expressions.
Yann L'Outsider, who describes herself as “accidentally urban,” currently resides at her family's estate in Brittany, a constant source of inspiration that may have influenced her turn to canvas and studio work. The artist gradually abandoned his color as he moved his own aesthetic explorations toward abstraction.
