There are areas where AI surpasses human capabilities, but there are also areas where it cannot replace them. Drawing on research into employee comfort with AI in management and decades of research into the qualities of effective leadership, the authors identify three capabilities that are uniquely human and the promise (and risk) of AI-based management: Leaders must focus on honing in, especially as AI begins to take more of 1) awareness, 2) compassion, and 3) wisdom into account in management.
