Simone Biles won her ninth U.S. all-around championship on Sunday, giving her a total of 32 national titles.
In the two-day all-around competition, Biles recorded a total score of 119.75 points, including 60.45 points on Friday and 59.3 points on Sunday.
“Hopefully I can go out here today feeling comfortable and confident about my gymnastics so I can go to the Olympic trials and take the next step towards Paris,” Biles said on Sunday. “So I couldn’t be more proud of how I’m doing at this time of the year and continuing to gain confidence, get back in front of crowds and do what I actually do.”
She also won gold medals on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
“For the most part, if I don’t feel stressed or anxious, I feel like I’m having a good time. So it’s nice to have that and feel it again.”
Skye Blakely and Kayla DiCello took silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the all-around category.
