“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary gave a speech this week criticizing a New York judge’s decision to impose a massive $355 million fine on former President Donald Trump, describing it as “un-American.”
O'Leary condemns Trump ruling
Last Friday, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron fined Trump and banned him from doing business in his native New York for three years. This did not sit well with O'Leary, who immediately spoke out to dispute the decision.
“The fact that he was found guilty is like convicting every real estate developer on the planet,” O’Leary told The New York Post. “I don't know where anyone got hurt… What developer doesn't demand top dollar for the buildings he builds?”
“This is not healthy for the country,” he continued. “I want this reviewed, appealed and overturned because this is wrong for everyone involved. When this judgment becomes firm. All developers should be sent to jail. They should be found guilty. They need to go out of business. We can't do this to each other. “It’s not about Trump,” he said.
“It’s absolutely terrible. It is unfair. I would go so far as to say that’s un-American,” O’Leary added.
Not stopping there, O'Leary called New York a “loser state” and predicted a mass exodus of businesses from the state if the decision stands.
“We were really surprised. You have no idea. A shock wave sent through the real estate industry. “It’s crazy,” he concluded.
“Regardless of what the fine is, I don’t think this case will survive appeal,” O’Leary previously told CNN. “This is ridiculous.”

Trump ruling overturned
Trump himself condemned the ruling.
“A crooked New York state judge working with a completely corrupt attorney general who ran for office under the banner of ‘I’m going to take Trump’ without knowing anything about me or my company gave me $355 million just for building a building. A fine was imposed. Great company. Election interference. Trump responded that it was a witch hunt, according to WSAU.
President Trump continued, “The court’s decision was a complete and total fraud,” adding, “There were no victims, no harm, no complaints.” Satisfactory banks and insurance companies (making a lot of money), great balance sheets that don’t even include their most valuable assets – the TRUMP brand, IRONCLAD disclaimers (buyer beware and own due diligence) and amazing real estate around the world.”

Trump lawyer's remarks
Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, said she would appeal the decision, describing it as “a clear and simple injustice, given the grave risks.”
It was reported last month that this was the first such case, as no official victim or crime was listed in the lawsuit, including the bank repaying the loan, and no one suffered a loss in the transaction. Many see this as yet another witch hunt against Trump launched in liberal cities to prevent him from being re-elected later this year.
It's rare for a public figure to defend Trump in any way. So we applaud O'Leary for having the courage to speak out against this un-American decision. Ultimately, this ruling will make Trump stronger. Because it becomes increasingly clear that Trump is being unfairly targeted by the left!
