Ryanair has announced further growth at its Zagreb base for the 2024/25 winter season, which starts on October 27 and runs until March 29 next year. The airline now plans to operate around 3,030 flights to Zagreb during the winter, an increase of around 20% on the 2023/24 season. Additionally, capacity will be increased by 17% to just over 550,000 seats. Additional changes to the winter network are still possible. Last week, Ryanair increased the frequency of its winter flights from the Croatian capital to Lanzarote from once a week to twice a week, and its frequency to Weeze from three times a week as originally planned to four times a week. This is an increase from last winter's twice-weekly rotation.
The low-cost carrier has upgraded its recently launched Pisa and Alicante route from seasonal to year-round operations, with flights scheduled to continue operating twice a week throughout the winter. The airline also plans to resume services to Memmingen, which were suspended this summer, with three-times-weekly flights on October 28. Ryanair will upgrade its seasonal Thessaloniki flights to year-round operations and maintain a twice-weekly rotation on a second route in Greece. Largest city during winter.
The budget airline also plans to increase frequency on several routes compared to last winter. There are plans to add two weekly flights to London Stansted, increasing the number of flights to Malta and Basel to five and four weekly respectively, for a total of nine weekly rotations. Weeze and Hahn meet four and three times a week, respectively. Meanwhile, the routes to Sandefjord and Naples, which were maintained twice a week last winter, are not yet scheduled. Overall, Ryanair has increased its number of flights from Zagreb this winter season from 56 per week to 68 per week.
The table below shows Ryanair's planned weekly operating frequencies from its Zagreb base. Airlines are likely to increase operations over the Christmas and New Year holidays from mid-December to early January, when frequency may vary.
