Staind consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. The band formed in 1995 in their hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts.
During his career, Staind released eight studio albums and twelve top ten singles, selling more than 15 million albums worldwide. Released in 2001 and certified RIAA certified 5x platinum, Break the Cycle featured the smash single “It's Been Awhile,” one of the most played songs in modern rock radio history, which spent 20 weeks at #1.
In 2023, Staind released Confessions of the Fallen, their first studio album in 12 years. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Rock Albums chart and spawned two No. 1 singles at rock radio.

Their last release, “AURORA”, earned them a #10 rock radio hit with “Far Away ft. Scooter Ward”. Their previous album, EMBER, debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Top 200, marking their fourth top 5 debut. Their track record includes #1 hits such as “Red Cold River” and “Torn in Two.”
