De Niro's video:
When a man was heard calling the police traitors, De Niro asked, 'Are they traitors? I don't even know what to do with you, friend. They were standing there. There was no need for that. They stood there and fought for us. They fought for you, friend. You can stand right here. They are the real heroes. “It is an honor to be with these two heroes today,” he said.
The real traitors are Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol and tried to destroy democracy. The police officers who risked their lives and were injured while being outnumbered and attacked by the mob incited by the former president are the true heroes of this era.
Michael Fanone, Harry Dunn, and many others were outnumbered and risked their bodies and lives to protect democracy and our elected representatives.
Those who believe that such actions are treason are woefully wrong and completely wrong.
Robert De Niro defended those who stood up for our rights that day, and Trump supporters who were brainwashed into thinking he was calling for treason are examples of how Trump mobilized the Republican Party as a threat to democracy.
President Biden is once again demonstrating the administration's commitment to improving the lives of the people.
Biden is keeping his promise and showing what a good, thoughtful government can do to help people.
