Squatters have taken over more than 1,200 homes in Atlanta, Georgia and are terrorizing neighbors by holding loud parties. One house was even turned into an illegal strip club.
This is a symptom of the lawlessness that has swept this country in recent years, and to make matters worse, the laws often favor squatters, making it extremely difficult for homeowners to remove them.
If we continue to let this happen, the problem will only spread and get worse.
PJ Media reports:
Democracy Haven: Squatters occupy 1,200 Atlanta homes and run open strip clubs.
In the latest episode of Democratic Urban Utopia, squatters are reportedly taking over hundreds of homes in Atlanta, terrorizing neighbors and even opening illegal strip clubs.
According to the New York Post, police response to evict squatters has been so delayed that some desperate homeowners have actually bribed intruders to leave. The entire neighborhood was left in ruins due to trespassers. Matt Urbanski, manager of a local house cleaning company, emphasized the severity of the crisis, saying, “I would be scared to rent one of my properties in Atlanta.”
He needs to know as he cleans houses for “corporate landlords,” according to the Post. Not only does Urbanski have to remove the squatter's belongings, one of his employees was recently shot after attempting to evict a squatter from the property.
Crime is a serious problem in Democratic-run Atlanta, which has seen record murders in 2021. Violent crime reportedly decreased in Atlanta in 2023, but auto thefts soared. Chris Queen of PJ Media, a lifelong resident of the Atlanta metro area, noted that Democratic anti-crime policies are likely contributing to the squatter crisis.
“Certain areas of metro Atlanta that are fully controlled by Democrats are finding different avenues for crime, so it’s not surprising that criminals are becoming more bold and creative,” Queen said.
Should this be part of the Democratic Party’s ‘equity’ agenda?

Squats should be illegal in every state. It's crazy that squatters have more rights than legal property owners! pic.twitter.com/EqnucBOXoi

This can end badly very quickly. Atlanta authorities would be wise to deal with this problem before people take matters into their own hands.
