Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said it was serious that top Republicans used Russian propaganda to impeach President Biden.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was asked about Republicans' use of Russian propaganda in the House of Representatives, and she said, “Yes, I mean, if you turn on the House oversight hearings last year, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert and all these people have been using wildly propagandistic rhetoric.” And I mean, let me backtrack for a moment: We just had an attempted impeachment of the President of the United States, and it started with communications with sources used by the Republican Party, namely Russian intelligence, so what's only here on the bottom bench. “No, you have Comer, the leader of the House Oversight Committee. Cite uncited evidence from someone who was collaborating with Russian intelligence, try to impeach him, and on top of that, remove the President of the United States. This is serious.”
Colbert asked whether the Republican Party knew this was Republican misinformation. “How did they not know that, or that this was connected to Russia?”
AOC said: “I think that's a very good question for Chairman Comer, because when they pulled us all into SCIF, which is a classified space, we were looking at these documents and now it all seems real and they kept asking, what did they feel was good intent or bad faith? I don't know, but I think it's really serious that something got to this point, got this far, got platformed to this point, and thankfully with the leadership of our ranking member, Jamie Raskin, we were able to stop them in their tracks. .”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was right. House Republicans' use of Russian propaganda is serious and should not be buried or forgotten. AOC brings up a good point. You may wonder if the Republicans are aware that they are using Russian propaganda, but the fact that they tried to impeach the President on Russian disinformation is important and should not be swept under the rug or treated as common knowledge.
Without Jamie Raskin and the talented House Democrats on the Oversight Committee, James Comer would have gotten away with impeaching Biden over Russian propaganda. Ocasio-Cortez has also played a key role in this effort, and the Republican Party's use of Russian propaganda needs serious investigation.
