Ivy League professor Cornel West, who is running as a third-party presidential candidate this year, chose fellow professor and far-left Black Lives Matter activist Melina Abdullah as his running mate.
West, a 70-year-old “public intellectual” currently attending Columbia Union Theological Seminary, said he was paying $500,000 in taxes as of last summer and was “trying to put smiles on the faces of Fannie Lou Hamer and Martin.” “I chose Abdullah,” he said. He demanded that the CSULA president “revoke all permits.” The campus' Young Americans for Freedom chapter displayed “Build the Wall” signs and called police officers former “slave captors.”
She also called conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, an Orthodox Jew, a “neo-Nazi” and a “neo-KKK member.”
Abdullah also responded to the bogus Jussie Smollett hate crime charges by saying, “We can never trust the police, especially the Chicago Police Department.” She referred to Smollett as “a black man who courageously existed, stood out, and spoke out in the fight for black freedom.”

To Abdullah, Smollett’s conviction was “coerced” by black people for “white supremacist acts.” [their] Lives and values are in the hands of judges and juries who operate in a system designed to oppress. [them].”
