prince william I met the team at St George's Park training ground on Monday 10th June and spoke to the manager. Gareth Southgate. The Prince of Wales shared an amusing story about his youngest son that included advice for athletes.
“I was walking to school with the kids this morning and I said, ‘What should I say to the England team today?’ The best advice I was given was to eat twice what I normally eat,” said William, 41. “And now I’m picturing you all running around with huge bellies and getting stitches on the pitch.”
He continued, “I think I’ve taken my youngest’s advice a little bit.”
England national team captain, harry kane, reacted tactfully to a 6-year-old's words of wisdom. “I don’t think our nutritionist would like that advice.” He said wittily to William:
After an anecdote about his youngest son, William gave the team some words of encouragement.
“Tournament football is brutal and demands much more than what is already given,” William said, adding that Euro 2024 would be “difficult”, “interesting” and “challenging” as they compete against other teams.

“I hope you know how much you mean to everyone here. Go out there and give your best, play for the shirt, play for each other, play for your country, because everyone is behind you. ,” he continued, “we’re really interested in what you’re trying to do.”
Late last month, William was pictured with his eldest son. prince george, while attending the English FA Cup final. The father-son duo watched the game from the box at London's Wembley Stadium wearing matching suit and tie combos.
The 10-year-old boy was seen cheering with his hand over his mouth during the match. They watched Manchester United win 2-1 in the FA Cup against Manchester City.
Alongside his royal duties, William is also president of the Football Association (FA), the governing body for all English football teams. The FA is also the governing body for tournaments such as the Adobe Women's FA Cup and the Emirates FA Cup, along with the Barclays Women's Super League.
On a personal level, William is proud of his team and is a fan of Premier League side Aston Villa.
“We are in the Champions League! A historic season and an incredible achievement. Thank you to Unai, the entire squad, and everyone at @AVFCOfficial.” William wrote via X after the team qualified for the UEFA Champions League last month. “I can’t wait for next season.”
