Oman Air has unveiled a significant boost to its distribution capabilities, made possible through partner travel solutions provider Accelya.
With this announcement, the airline will introduce tools that will enable its trading partners to “seamlessly” manage their customers’ travel needs.
As an early adopter of NDC technology and a founding member of the IATA Modern Aviation Retail Consortium, this move by Oman Air is part of the airline's retail transformation program leveraging the latest IATA NDC technology.
In addition to strengthening its distribution capabilities, Oman Air is strengthening its loyalty system provided by Accelya with rich CRM capabilities.
It includes advanced campaign management capabilities and a dedicated partner portal, allowing airlines to implement syndicated loyalty programs and generate new revenue streams through the sale of loyalty points.
“NDC is a pivotal tool that provides increased flexibility and control over our distribution channels,” he said. Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air.
“Oman Air’s NDC journey has seen significant growth in recent years and our partnership with Accelya marks an important milestone in this journey.
“The new upgrades not only help us streamline and expand our customer experience to deliver more robust services, but also significantly reduce our distribution costs, paving the way for more efficient operations and revenue diversification.”
Sam Gilliland, CEO of Accelya, added: “We are delighted that Oman Air has chosen Accelya to take control of the future of retail and lead the way in offering and ordering innovation.
“More and more airlines across a variety of sizes and operating models are choosing Accelya’s FLX platform, as it has delivered fast, impactful results.
“Our partnership with Oman Air is an example of how Accelya is leading the market and bringing the benefits of our technology to customers across the travel industry.”
