The American College of Pediatrics (ACPeds) has harshly criticized America's leading medical institutions for their bold resistance to mainstream medical tyranny.
This coalition of medical professionals released a “Doctor's Statement Protecting Children” Thursday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
This declaration, led by Dr. Jill Simons, Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians, is an urgent call to stop the radical gender reassignment protocols imposed on vulnerable children.
A coalition of doctors, nurses, behavioral health clinicians and scientists from a diverse group has raised awareness of the serious physical and mental health risks associated with so-called “gender-affirming” treatment.
“We have serious concerns about the physical and mental health impacts of the current protocols promoted for the care of children and adolescents in the United States who express discomfort with their biological sex,” Dr. Simmons said at a press conference.
“Although this statement was written by the American College of Pediatricians, it was actually developed based on the expertise of hundreds of doctors, researchers, other health care workers and leaders who have been sounding the alarm about harmful protocols that have persisted for years. Promoted by medical institutions in the United States. “Despite the recent revelations of the leaked WPATH files and the release of the Cass Review’s final report, these healthcare organizations have not changed their policy.”
Dr. Simmons specifically named each major medical association and criticized them for promoting the gender transition agenda to vulnerable children.
“We ask the nation’s medical institutions, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society, the Society of Pediatric Endocrinology, the American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, to: Follow science and your European colleagues and immediately stop promoting social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgery for children and adolescents experiencing concerns about their biological sex. In our declaration, we affirm that sex is a dimorphic innate characteristic defined in relation to an organism’s biological role in reproduction, that is, male and female.”

These experts argue that practices such as social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery are neither safe nor effective in the long term.
Dr. Andre Van Mol, a board-certified family physician, criticized the ideology that drives these treatments. He emphasized that if left unchecked, gender dysphoria often resolves naturally in adulthood, linking it to underlying issues such as mental health disorders and autism. Van Maul noted that current protocols are dangerously experimental and ignore the well-being of children.
Dr. Erika LeBaron, president-elect of the American College of Physicians and Surgeons, spoke impassionedly about the ethical violations of current protocols, which go against the principle of “do no harm.” She called for a return to medical practices that prioritize patients' health over political ideology.
Dr. Karl Benzio, a board-certified psychiatrist, noted that a growing number of countries are rejecting gender-affirming treatment in favor of psychiatric evaluation and mental health care. He emphasized that gender confusion is a psychological problem, not a biological problem, and must be dealt with accordingly. He warned that current chemical and surgical interventions were causing irreversible damage to children's bodies and minds.
Dr. David Olson, a pediatrician in private practice and a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Pediatricians, expressed strong support for the pivotal statement challenging current medical practice regarding gender transition protocols in children. Dr. Olson called on medical professionals from all disciplines to carefully review the declaration and its primary references.
“I urge all my colleagues, regardless of their medical specialty, to read the declaration, read the references, then make a prudent decision and sign it. The time to act is now,” said Dr. Olson.
The ‘Declaration of Doctors to Protect Children’ marks an important moment in the fight against radical gender ideologies promoted by major medical institutions.
This declaration has already been endorsed by the Association of Hippocratic Medicine (AHM), American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), American College of Family Physicians (ACFM), American College of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), Catholic Health Leadership Alliance (CHCLA), and Catholic Medical Association (CMA). , Campaign for Children and Parental Rights (CPRC), Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA), Coalition for Jewish Values, Colorado Principled Physicians, Genspect, Honey Lake Clinic, National Catholic Nurses Association, and National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC). ), North Carolina Free Physician Association (NCPFF). Prominent pediatricians, other physicians, and medical experts from across the United States also signed the document.
ACPeds and the Association of Healthcare Professionals are urging their colleagues and the public to read and support the statement, available at doctorprotectingchildren.org.
