HINESVILLE, Ga. (TCN) — Two firefighters who were lovers were found dead in Tennessee over the weekend after going missing.
According to WJCL-TV:On Saturday, June 22, Raegan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander got into an argument at the Olive Garden in Pooler because she claimed she saw him dating. Anderson allegedly stole her ex-boyfriend's car and was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace.
Two days later, on the morning of June 24, Kubander reportedly told her mother that Anderson was “blowing up” her phone. He went to Crunch Fitness at the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah, but was never seen getting back in his car and leaving. WJCL reported that surveillance footage showed Anderson’s Ford Focus in the parking lot at the same time Kubander left the gym.
WTOC-TV Report Anderson was placed on administrative leave by the Liberty County Fire Department on June 24 after his arrest. On June 25, Hinesville police conducted a welfare check at Anderson’s residence at the request of the fire chief. Police reportedly found a note inside her home indicating that she might harm herself.
June 26th, Issued by the Hinesville Police Department A BOLO (Be on the Lookout) alert was issued for Anderson and Cuban, with the two believed to be traveling in Anderson's vehicle.
Anderson was reportedly caught on video pumping gas at a gas station in South Carolina. WTOC reported that Kuhbander's mother said cell phone data pinned him to the same area.
Sunday, June 30th, The Hinesville Police Department released the following statement: Cuban and Anderson were found dead in Cocke County, Tennessee.
Liberty County Fire Chief Brian Darby said in a statement The department said it was “deeply saddened” by the news of their deaths, adding, “These two extremely dedicated employees gave their heart and soul to protecting and serving the citizens of Liberty County.”
The cause and manner of death of Anderson and Cuban are still under investigation.
