MatrixSpace is the world's smallest radar system, addressing the next generation of AI-enabled sensing. MatrixSpace's devices operate in two modes: radar and communications. It consumes 25W in radar mode and 11W in communication mode. Dual-mode functionality allows information to be relayed back to the field in real time. MatrixSpace radar provides 4D integrated outdoor surveillance (tracking the size, position and movement of multiple objects over time). View objects 2 km away from a flying aircraft and record their direction, speed, and approximate distribution. This includes detecting approaching attack drone formations in Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) applications. MatrixSpace radar can also operate on ground stations or mobile robots such as the Boston Dynamics robotic dog, as demonstrated at the Denver AUVSI Xponential in May 2023 (last photo). MatrixSpace is all software-defined, plug-and-play, drag-and-drop, and is “interoperable across numerous existing IT systems and infrastructure.” Lieutenant General Rich Brown (R), VADM, who recently joined MatrixSpace's Advisory Board, said: “MatrixSpace’s compact, lightweight radar represents a game-changing breakthrough in solving numerous maritime battlespace perception challenges. Combined with AI edge processing and built-in mesh networking, the use cases for this radar are limited only by our imagination. We are very proud to join the outstanding MatrixSpace team and look forward to working with them to enhance the capabilities and combat readiness of our Navy and Marine Corps teams.” MatrixSpace radars are suitable for a variety of vertical market applications, from defense to public safety. Once FCC approval is received, the device can be sold. Watch the background video here and visit MatrixSpace for more information.
