In her State of the Union address, Marjorie Taylor Greene asked President Biden to name Laken Riley, 22, a University of Georgia nursing student who was allegedly tragically killed by an illegal immigrant while jogging on campus. I applied pressure twice.
It worked. Sort of. If only he knew her name.
The first incident occurred in the long-standing tradition of the president entering the conference room and being greeted by lawmakers as he departs to deliver his State of the Union address.
In a face-to-face confrontation, Greene (R-GA) handed Biden a pin with Laken Riley’s name and face on it and said, “Laken Riley. “Please tell me your name.”
The suspect in Riley's murder, Jose Ibarra, is an illegal immigrant who was arrested in 2022 for illegally crossing the border near El Paso, Texas. The details of the incident are horrific.
Republicans suggest her case is an example of the president's failed open borders policy.

Greene faces Biden again during the State of the Union.
Biden gave a somewhat contentious State of the Union address filled with partisan attacks on his political opponents, a notable breakdown in decorum for such events.
Many of his comments drew shouts from Republican lawmakers who opposed his claims. As the president spoke about the border crisis, Greene again shouted, “Tell me her name.”
And he did. Well, at least he finished exam to.
“Lincoln, Lincoln Riley.” Biden spoke, holding up the pin that Greene had handed him earlier. “Innocent young woman murdered by illegals.”
Biden going off script should have embarrassed his handlers. And he immediately made it worse by downplaying Riley's murder and claiming that more Americans were being killed by “lawmen.”

amazing moment
It's an incredible moment when President Biden is forced to name a woman murdered by an illegal immigrant during his State of the Union address. Especially for someone who has run the most lawless government in the history of this country.
His Department of Homeland Security warned against using the term “illegal alien” in 2021. And some Democrats were outraged that he didn't use the word at all. They seem more enraged than they killed Laken Riley.
Regarding President Biden's follow-up remarks on the Riley incident, controversy arose over whether he was referring to 'illegal' or 'legal'.
Former Fox News producer Kyle Becker claims the comments are appalling no matter which way you look at them.
Becker wrote in
“If he meant illegal, he is condemning his own disastrous border policy.”
In addressing Laken Riley's murder, President Biden acted as he often has. He compared her murder to the death of his son Beau.
“I would like to send my thoughts to her parents. “I understand the loss of a child myself,” he said.
Critics suggest that while Beau Biden's death is certainly tragic and heartbreaking, it does not compare to losing a child to preventable murder.
