According to remarks by Senator Lindsey Graham on Sunday morning, former President Trump appears to be illegally interfering with U.S. foreign policy.

Asked by CNN's Dana Bash about Trump's thoughts on the Israel-Saudi Arabia peace deal, Graham said:
But I spoke with President Trump on the phone not long ago. He wants the killings to end. He wants to see peace reign. As you know, we are going to have an election here in November. But can lives be saved before November? I am convinced that the Abraham Accords set the stage for this deal. If a deal is reached between Saudi Arabia and Israel, it is an Arab-Israeli conflict. Isolate the Iranians. This gives hope to the Palestinian people. This provides Israel with real security. Yes, I don't think anyone on the Republican side is going to scale back on this deal.
I told the Biden administration here on national television that if you can get this deal done, you'll get a lot of Republican support in the U.S. Senate for a treaty between Saudi Arabia and the United States. Because it would be good. For Israel. That would be good for the world and I think President Trump will get credit for building on the Abraham Accords. So I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about whether I can complete the transaction before time runs out.

Trump spoke with MBS and made it clear that he was okay with a peace deal as long as he got credit. Senate Republicans also agree to a peace deal as long as Trump gets credit. Lindsey Graham says Biden is trying to frame the situation as “landing the plane,” implying that Trump deserves credit for any deal.
It seemed like the only thing Trump and Jared Kushner had accomplished in the Middle East was cleaning up their bank accounts.
Trump is interfering with U.S. foreign policy in violation of the Logan Act.
What Trump is doing is illegal, and one of the many ways he is using his dictatorial foreign allies to interfere in the presidential election.
