The Biden campaign sent a lengthy email to supporters Saturday night urging them to “keep the faith” while also trying to cheer up the “sleeping bag brigade” who are still reeling from Joe Biden's disastrous performance in Thursday's debate with President Trump. I tried. Biden appeared dazed and confused most of the time.
In an attempt to show that it would be a mistake to throw Biden out, the Biden campaign bizarrely included a poll from a Democratic pollster that showed Trump beating Biden and every other Democratic candidate. The campaign claims Trump beats Biden by 3 points, while the other candidates all lost to Trump by 2 or 3 points, just like Biden.
About the email from deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty, posted by ABC News reporter Will Steakin:

Excerpt from an email published by HuffPost's Yashar Ali:
“The sleeping bag wetting brigade is demanding that Joe Biden 'leave the party'. That's the best way for Donald Trump to win and for us to lose.
First off, Joe Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee. End of story. The voters voted. He won overwhelmingly. And if he drops out, it will lead to weeks of chaos, internal food fights, and a bunch of candidates limping through a brutal floor fight at the convention while Donald Trump gets a chance to talk to the American electorate without competition.
All of this is for a candidate who is running in a general election with absolutely no money in his bank account and is in the weakest position possible. Do you want a losing highway? That's it.”

Bill Kristol, never a Trumper, said, “Panic at Biden headquarters? They included a chart in their fundraising email that they claimed showed Biden's strongest candidacy against Trump. I don't see anything like that. “All the possible Democratic candidates are already doing as well as Biden, although they are certainly less well-known than him.”
Panic at Biden Headquarters?
They included a chart in their fundraising email that they claimed showed Biden's strongest candidacy against Trump. I don't see anything like that. If you think, even for a moment, that Biden is going to be eliminated, read this lengthy email that Biden's deputy campaign manager, Rob Flaherty, just sent.
