Two Kansas City Chiefs players are in conflict with the police.
Wanya Maurice and Chukwuebuka godric He was arrested May 16 in Johnson County, Kansas, on charges of marijuana/THC possession, according to Johnson Country Sheriff's Office arrest records reviewed by E! News.
Morris, 23, and Godrick, also 23, were booked in the early morning of May 17 and released in the afternoon on $2,500 bail each, according to online records.
Under Kansas City law, marijuana possession is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 for a first offense. Both Morris and Godrick were first-time offenders, according to Johnson County Sheriff's Office records.
Morris was drafted by the Chiefs as an offensive tackle in 2023 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma a year ago. He capped his rookie season as a Super Bowl champion as the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year.
