Julian Bellamy, managing director of ITV Studios, has joined the board of directors of the National Film and Television School in Buckinghamshire, England.
ITV Studios is the production arm of British media conglomerate ITV and is the UK's largest producer with over 60 production labels. We have production bases all over the world, including the United States. It also featured reality shows such as 'Bates Vs The Post Office', 'Gomorrah', and 'Vigil', as well as 'Love Island' and 'The Voice'.
Prior to joining ITV Studios, Bellamy worked at Discovery Networks International where he was Creative Director and Head of Commissioning for Channel 4 and the BBC. He entered the industry as a current affairs producer/director.
“We are delighted to welcome Julian Bellamy to the NFTS Board,” said Sophie Turner Laing, Dean of the National Film and Television School. “His extensive experience and remarkable achievements in television and production will further enrich the school’s mission and impact and further elevate our position within the world’s leading education environment for film, television and gaming.”
Bellamy added: “Creative talent is at the heart of what we do, from writing epic dramas to producing entertainment for audiences around the world to capturing incredible natural history. NFTS is renowned for supporting and developing outstanding creative talent and I am honored to join its Board of Directors.”
The NFTS Board of Directors determines, among other things, the strategic direction of the school. Other members of the board include Charlotte Moore, the BBC's chief content officer, and Phil Edgar-Jones, Sky's head of entertainment.
