Trump gave Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel each a target for Cupid's comedic arrows with crazy Valentine's Day messages.
Stephen Colbert: “No matter what deal the prosecution offered you, you kept the trap closed.”
Colbert said:
Donald Trump wrote a Valentine's letter to his wife Melania and celebrated the day by sending a mass of emails with the subject line, “I love you, Melania.” Cancel your subscription. Valentine's actual text is actually pretty weird. “Melania, I love you. Even when I was accused, arrested, and witch-hunted, you never left my side. No matter what deal you make, thick or thin, no matter what deal the prosecution proposes, you have closed the trap. I call it love. We also call our prenup the minimum negotiated terms.”

Jimmy Kimmel: “Just graphically, it looks like a ransom letter.”
Jimmy Kimmel said:
The closest thing Donald Trump got to Valentine's Day today was in an email to his supporters. This is amazing and real. Graphically, it looks like a ransom letter. Considering Melania's current situation, it seems appropriate. “To Melania, I love you! No matter how many times you were accused, arrested, or witch-hunted, you never left my side.”
That’s a passage from “The Notebook.” Isn't that right? “I would not be the person I am today without your guidance, kindness, and warmth.” Don't blame her for what happened to you. Then there's a little box where you can leave Melania a message saying, “I want 100,000 responses now!” And of course, there is also a button to donate to the St Valen Crimes Defense Fund. It's such a lovely and romantic gesture.

Did Trump know about the Valentine's Day fundraising emails?
Melania Trump has nothing to do with Trump's 2024 campaign. She has not appeared with him at any of his campaign rallies, has not exactly made one of Trump's court appearances, and has rarely been seen in public with her husband.
There is no way Trump had anything to do with that email. Designed and sent by our professional fundraising team.
Colbert and Kimmel had every right to go to town on Trump's outrageous cash grab as he tried to trick his supporters into cash to pay his legal fees.
Both comedians were funny, but it's outrageous that Trump would care enough to send out a fundraising email blast to cover his legal bills disguised as Valentine.
