After the FBI informant who formed Burisma was arrested on claims he based the impeachment inquiry on Biden, Jamie Raskin called on James Comer to stop the investigation.
Raskin said in a statement provided to PoliticusUSA:
Special Prosecutor David Weiss, appointed by former President Donald Trump, proved through a detailed indictment how much of the key evidence in the House Republican impeachment investigation was based on lies.
Special Counsel Weiss' investigation is the latest to expose the Ukraine-Burisma conspiracy theory at the heart of this fraudulent impeachment inquiry.
It is undeniable that the Republican Party's claims about President Biden have always been a fabric of lies based on conspiracy theories. I formally urge Chairman Johnson, Chairman Comer, and House Republicans to stop this ridiculous promotion and end the ill-fated impeachment inquiry.

Oversight Committee Ranking Member Raskin was right. The basis for the investigation turned out to be false. There is no reason for the investigation to continue because it is based on lies. It's time to put an end to this nonsense. Biden won't be impeached, and Republicans have far less legs to stand on than they did when the investigation began.
