Jamie Lee Curtis once spoke candidly about how she felt the movie “changed” her and her career.
The actress won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work. Everything, everywhere, at once. On the red carpet at this year's Oscars, Curtis recalled last year's win.
“In truly immeasurable ways,” Curtis said. Diversity.
“I’m making a movie with James L. Brooks right now! I have been asked to work with people I never thought I would be asked to work with. James L. Brooks is one of them. It's hard to put into words. But the good vibes I got from around the world changed me.”
“I’ve been around a long time,” Curtis continued.
“That movie changed people. That movie had an impact. That's what movies do. That's the beauty of movies. Movies have an impact, they change the way we think, the way we feel, they change us. I went through such a change. “The unexpected moments of last year continued to grow and roll and were beautiful.”
After winning the Oscar, Curtis claimed “I never thought I'd get a call” from a director like James L. Brooks.
The same goes for other opportunities. One of them is her important role as Donna, the mother of Carmy, Michael and Natalie, who plays a supporting role in the episode “The Bear”.
Curtis said he wasn't sure if he would rejoin the Emmy-winning FX series.
