Simone Biles stole the show with her awe-inspiring floor gymnastics routine on Friday, the first night of the USA Gymnastics Olympic team trials in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and fans were swept away by it.
With two days left until the trials for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles leads the way with 58.900 points, followed by Jordan Childs in second with 56.400 and Sunni Li in third with 56.025.
After her first event, the uneven bars, Biles finished second. But on her two favorite events, the floor and vault, her points soared to first place and the crowd screamed.

Another fan filmed himself trying out the flashy Olympian's moves, posting side-by-side footage of him and Biles routing together and captioning it: “Icon. Legend. Moment.”
The routine included an instrumental version of “…Ready for It?” Taylor Swift delights Swift fans around the world.
“The song was definitely ‘are you ready?’ But we still weren’t,” someone praised the seven-time Olympic medalist.

Her Friday night performance got her off to a strong start to make the 2024 team the United States will send to Paris to compete in this year's Olympics. The gymnast with the highest score at the Olympic trials will automatically be included in the team the United States will send to Paris, and after the trials, a committee will select four more.
Biles famously withdrew from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, citing mental health issues at the time, but her performance at the U.S. Olympic qualifiers is a sign that she's better than ever.
