Beach parties, mojitos, all day fun scenes. San Juan, near Isla Verde in Puerto Rico, is the Caribbean's busiest beach town and one of its sexiest beaches.
And a new large-scale hotel is soon to be built.
Next year, Isla Verde's former Verdanza hotel will be relaunched as the new Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde. This is the brand representing Hyatt Centric, the first in the Caribbean region, and the first of its kind to focus on urban and flexible hotels in major travel destinations.
The hotel is undergoing a $25 million improvement project that will renovate all of the hotel's guest rooms, suites and public areas.
This 223-room hotel is located about a block from the sandy beaches of Isla Verde.
So what do you need to know?
The resort features a lush pool deck, extensive event space, and what Hyatt calls a “locally inspired” restaurant and pool bar.
Most notable is the access to Vivo Beach Club, a large destination club featuring everything from restaurants to bars and on-site microbreweries.
Highgate Hotels manages the resort. This will be the company's fourth in Puerto Rico.
This is another new version of the former Verdanza, which was last renovated in 2018 and is now attracting millennial travelers. This would be much easier to provide at a lively beach club.
