I've been thinking about Terminal and VS Code for a while. Dip your toes into exploring coding.
Today I set up a new virtual machine and did other simple things I had done before (e.g. using homebrew), but discovered that I couldn't find common commands like ls, sudo, mkdir. PWD, CD work without problem.
The problem seems to be the path. This is strange because I didn't change the path. Terminal is using the zsh shell, and I've read some support articles that mention checking the Terminal dropdown menu > Settings > Profiles to make sure the paths are all correct.
I did this, restarted and reset, and got the same path issue (command not found) throughout terminal and VS Code. This means that using sudo and other commands takes me in circles.
Can someone please guide me? It's driving me a little crazy because none of the fixes I tried worked. Please let me know what information I can find to help you. Thank you always 🙂
