Confisco Grille is located in the entrance area of the Islands of Adventure interior, across from the park's central lagoon near Seuss Landing. Confisco, as the name suggests, is themed around port of entry customs and confiscating contraband for those traveling on these adventure islands. The restaurant features high ceilings with ornate stone and plaster walls accenting the entrance. Almost every surface not used for eating is covered in confiscated items. Dinosaur wand from the Wizarding World, Natasha and Boris from Marvel items are trying to find a moose and a squirrel. Kids will have fun searching for Easter eggs scattered throughout the restaurant.
Confisco's second story is the Navigator's Club, a large open space for VIP events and tours. Universal frequently opens its club area for additional Confisco dining for Universal Annual Pass holders during busy periods. The second level offers amazing views of the park's central lagoon, but the menu is still the standard Confisco menu.

Confisco has been stepping up its food game over the past few years. Previously, the restaurant was known for serving delicious American favorites, including burgers and sandwiches, with an international focus. The menu now features a mix of American, South Pacific, Greek and Italian flavors. Highlights include Filipino sweet and sour ribs on polenta, specialty BLT with pork belly on house-made focaccia bread, Korean fried rice bowl, cold noodle bowl with ahi tuna, and banh mi.
Chicken Lettuce Wraps – ginger soy marinated chicken, bibb lettuce, pickled radishes and carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts, cellophane noodles, crushed peanuts and cilantro.

Food quality is good but not outstanding. On previous visits the food was delicious and satisfying, but not up to the high quality of Mythos. Confisco is a step above familiar chain restaurants like Chilis or Applebees, but its menu and casual setting keep it from being high on the list. Some picky eaters may be disappointed by the lack of burgers and other options.

Backwater Bar is a walk-up bar to the left of Confisco serving specialty cocktails, beer and wine. The cocktail list is shared between the two locations, but all Backwater drinks are served in to-go plastic cups. Backwater is a faster full bar between The Watering Hole and Hogs Head.
opinion
Confisco Grille is a delicious and fun restaurant with a surprisingly sophisticated menu. Reservations are easy and the casual atmosphere makes it a great place to visit with family or after a trip. While we enjoy unique main dishes and fun cocktails like Bahn Mi and jalapeño margaritas, some groups may be disappointed by the lack of familiar items like burgers.
