we are ladies The Part follows the highs and lows of a Muslim female punk band. The latest image shows Malala in a blue gown, sitting on top of her horse and completing the look with a cowgirl hat.
After a successful first season, it will return for Season 2 on May 30th. Malala joins band members Anjana Vasan (Wicked Little Letters, Black Mirror), Sarah Kameela Impey (Vera, Halcyon Heights), and Juliette Motamed in cameos. In Series 2, the band returns with a new artistic mission after a successful first UK tour, only to discover a rival band threatening to overthrow everything they have worked for. In a previous interview, creator Manzoor, who drew on her own experiences to create the show, said the new season will delve deeper into the inner lives of all the women featured in the show. “Each of them is faced with a new, existential challenge that comes with all the silliness, pranks, and jokes from Season 1,” she explained.
The director, who has been tasked with creating more original music for the show, added: “The music is bigger too. There are wilder original songs (written by me and my siblings) and, dare I say it, better covers.” .
