All About Photo presents Attila Ataner’s “Landscapes Recreated: Iceland,” an online exhibition running until June 2024. This collection contains 14 stunning photographs from his series.
Ataner visited Iceland in August and September 2006, a critical period in his life. The country's landscapes and variety of lights – majestic mountains, volcanic sands and tranquil streams – left a lasting impression. His memories inspired him to reorganize and edit his photos, blending them to truly reflect his experiences.
Inspired by traditional Asian scroll paintings, Ataner merged and reconfigured his photographs into a 1:2 aspect ratio to emphasize the harmony of earth and sky. This image captures our ongoing relationship with Iceland.
