The construction wall went down. Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens June 28 In ~ Magic Kingdom.
As we get closer to visiting Princess Tiana this summer, Imagineers have put up signs for when Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens June 28th. It shows twisted greenery forming two columns, holding a purple sign that reads “Tiana's Bayou Adventure,” with a yellow lily flower sitting inside the “O” for “Bayou.”
Illuminating the sign are pink lily lamps on either side.
In addition to this morning's news that a construction wall at Tiana's Bayou Adventure has collapsed, we were able to get our first detailed look inside Tiana's Bayou Adventure through the latest installment of Disney's 'We Call It Imagineering', released on YouTube on May 29th.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure, a reimagining of Splash Mountain, invites guests to join beloved characters Princess Tiana, Mama Odie, Louis and an all-new group of friends on a thrilling adventure set against the music and excitement of a New Orleans festival.
This new attraction features dozens of Audio-Animatronics figures, an exciting soundtrack and a celebration where everyone is welcome.
Music is at the heart of New Orleans, and guests will be tapping their toes throughout the attraction thanks to adorable animals playing instruments made from natural materials found in the bayou.
Tiana's new friends include an otter, a rabbit, a raccoon, a beaver, and a turtle. Their vibrant styling will party the bayou with authentic Zydeco, Rara and Afro-Cuban music from the New Orleans area.
Featuring some of your favorite songs from the film, along with new and original music produced in collaboration with award-winning artists PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard.
You can see the video here PJ Morton rides the attraction for the first time and also shows us the inside of this new attraction.
In addition to the musical's cast, Tiana's Bayou Adventure welcomes talented voices to the film, including Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, Michael-Leon Wooley as Louis, and the one and only Anika Noni Rose. Princess Tiana.
Guests may spot familiar faces as part of dozens of all-new audio-animatronic figures as they float among the cypress trees and Spanish moss of the beautiful Louisiana beaches.
Keep an eye out for Eudora, Charlotte, Prince Ralphie, Prince Naveen and more along with Princess Tiana, Louis and Mama Odie. Between iconic Disney storytelling, technologically advanced audio-animatronic figures, and a thrilling 50-foot drop, Tiana's Bayou Adventure has enough fun for everyone!
As Walt Disney Animation Studios' “The Princess and the Frog” sets in the Crescent City, Tiana's Bayou Adventure is filled with true NOLA artistry as Charlotte trumps Tiana's “captivating” Bennet!
Artwork by Louisiana artist Malaika Favorite will delight guests as part of the queue, and guests can view an original metalwork weathervane by third-generation blacksmith Darryl Reeves and his apprentice Karina Roca. The work of New Orleans artist Sharika Mahdi has inspired this attraction from the beginning.
And for some lagniappe (“a little something extra”), guests will fill their noses with the sweet aroma of beignets kept warm in the oven, reminiscent of a stroll through the French Quarter as part of an attraction queue.
The core of Tiana's story reminds guests that everyone has the potential to make their dreams a reality.
