exclusive: David Tennant (doctor who), Jonathan Price (two popes), Naomi Ackie (blinks twice), Daniel Mays (Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget) and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (killing eve) joins Amblin in Netflix's film thursday murder club.
They join recently revealed Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie. Filming begins at the end of this month.
Chris Columbus is the writer and director of this lively crime comedy about a group of friends who gather at a nursing home to solve murders for fun, only to find themselves embroiled in real-life events. The four members of the club are Mirren (former spy Elizabeth), Kingsley (former psychiatrist Ibrahim), Brosnan (former union activist Ron), and Imrie (former nurse Joyce).
Producers are Jennifer Todd and Chris Columbus. Executive producers are Holly Bario, Jeb Brody, Eleanor Columbus and Jo Burn. The film is based on Richard Osman's 2020 novel of the same name.
The film is the latest film produced as part of Netflix's film partnership with Amblin. carry-on Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton star.
