During happy hour, we enjoyed snacks, champagne, and whiskey in the lounge. Our first night was the least crowded (and therefore the most enjoyable), and by our last night every seat was filled. If seats are available, staff will help you find a seat.
Conrad Tokyo near Shimbashi
Shimbashi is known as a business district, but it is located right next to Ginza. If you love shopping like me, this is where you should spend your time anyway. Most of the nearby buildings are new mixed-use commercial and residential projects. So while Shimbashi may lack the charm of quieter, more traditional Japanese neighborhoods, being in a “new” area means there's always plenty to eat and drink nearby.
If you're a fan of Hayao Miyazaki (director of Spirited Away and my personal favorite Tonarino Totoro), check out the giant Jibiri Clock on the Japanese TV Tower, a short walk from the hotel. There is a set itinerary, so be sure to look it up before you go on your special trip.
