On Friday, Brinkley attended her ex-husband's sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, where she received a special serenade. In her video posted to TikTok, Joel is seen smiling at her as she sings the song “Uptown Girl,” which he wrote for her early in their romance. Brinkley also appeared in music videos.
In the video, Brinkley, 70, smiles as he sways to the music and mouths the song's lyrics to a sold-out crowd. On stage, the piano man sang a song, smiled, and looked in the direction where his ex-wife was.
Joel and Brinkley, 74, were married from 1985 to 1994. Together, they are parents to 37-year-old Alexa Ray Joel.
After the show, Brinkley shared a video filled with snippets of the concert, including footage of her dancing to “Uptown Girl.” At that moment, their daughter Alexa surprised Joel with a performance of “To Sir With Love” and sang along with the 25-year-old. Three-year-old daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook.

In another video, Brinkley celebrated Alexa and Joel's onstage moment with a lengthy video of their duet performance of “Say Goodbye to Hollywood.”

Joel's Ten-year residency at Madison Square Garden ends in July — following his 150th show.
Back in February, the Grammy Award-winning musician spoke to ET and teased his future on the Big Apple stage.
âWell, I never said I would never play in the Garden again. Just for this particular game and residency, thatâs it for now,â he said. âWe can play the Garden again, we can play in different stadiums in New York that we havenât played in in 10 years, so it opens up a whole new world.â
