Chris Brown made a technical impact during his concert Tuesday night. The R&B star was once left hanging in the air after a wire broke during his song.
The Grammy Award-winning star glided across the stage on wires while performing his song 'Under the Influence' at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Brown appeared to stop and make movements during the song, but the crowd didn't seem to immediately notice as he continued to sing.
An angry Brown signaled tour staff to help him. Even when he was blocked, he continued to sing without stopping.
A ladder was brought to the stage and Brown came down and finished playing the song, but ended up speaking to one of the tour staff members who helped bring the ladder.
After the two-hour performance, he told the audience that he was angry, but made light of the situation.
Brown, who kicked off the 11:11 tour last week, flew onto a small stage in the center of the venue during the show to perform songs like “Take You Down” and “Wet the Bed.” Even while he was in the air, he danced and even sang upside down.
Tuesday night's concert featured a selection of his hits, including “Go Crazy,” “No Guidance,” “Loyal,” “She Ain't You,” “With You” and his 2005 debut single “Run It!”
Arya Starr and Maeta opened for Brown. Brown will play two nights at Brooklyn's Barclays Center and conclude the tour with two shows at Crypto.com Arena on August 6-7.
