Social media star Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has been served with a legal notice seeking damages of Rs 180 million for allegedly insulting legendary musician Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. This notice was issued by Mian Muhammad Umair Niaz on behalf of Qaiser Munir Khan and sent to the British residence of Chahat.
The notice states that if Chahat does not respond within 15 days, a defamation suit will be filed in court. express news It has been reported.
Chahat has been charged with defaming the name of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, causing offence to the people of Faisalabad and violating copyright laws. The notice alleges that Chahat has falsely portrayed himself as a relative of the late musician and has defamed Nusrat’s legacy through his songs.

“Chahat’s song has upset the people of Faisalabad,” the notice added.
The legal notice demands Chahat to make a public apology on social media. If he fails to respond or apologise within 15 days, legal action and a defamation suit of Rs 180 crore will be filed.
