A car crashed into a White House barricade at high speed Saturday night, killing the driver, according to the Secret Service.
A Secret Service investigation is ongoing, but there was no threat to the White House, according to the statement. The investigation into the fatal crash “will be turned over to the Washington Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit.”
It is still unclear what caused the vehicle crash.
As Gateway Pundit reported, another vehicle crashed into the White House gates in January. The driver was taken into custody.

U.S. Secret Service Communications Director Andrew Guglielmo informed the public that “there is no threat or impact to public safety.”

The Secret Service statement reads:
Statement on White House Car Crash
Just before 10:30 p.m. on May 4, a vehicle traveling at high speed collided with the exterior gate of the White House complex. Security protocols were implemented as police attempted to clear the vehicle and provide assistance to the driver, who was found dead. There was no threat to the White House. The fatal crash portion of the crash will be turned over to the Washington Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit while the Secret Service investigation continues.

Washington (7News) — An investigation is underway after a man died in a crash near the White House Saturday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
At approximately 10:45 p.m., DC police said they responded to the intersection of 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Northwest DC for a report of a crash. When they arrived, they found a man and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said a vehicle crashed into a security barrier around the White House. The incident is currently being investigated as a traffic accident.
